One month ago, I booked a trip (flight + hotel) to Cancun with The next day, I checked my bank account and I noticed I had been overcharged of $ 1083.60 from Spirit Airline.

I first called Orbitz customer service which held me on line an hour before asking me to call back the next day. I called back the next day, an Orbitz supervisor called Spirit and told me I would have my money back within 3 to 10 business days. Ten business days later, I called Spirit customer service. They told me the refund could take up to 14 business days.

The situation seemed to be very normal to them. Today, one month later, I am still waiting for my refund. I can't see any way out, except hiring a lawyer.

What do you think ?

Monetary Loss: $1083.

Call your credit card company or bank (if you paid with a debit card) and file a dispute! Tell them that you were overcharged and explain that you spoke with Orbitz as well as Spirit Airlines and that they have been giving you empty promises of a refund.

File a chargeback! You will get your money back!
