One month ago, I booked a trip (flight + hotel) to Cancun with Orbitz.com. The next day, I checked my bank account and I noticed I had been overcharged of $ 1083.60 from Spirit Airline.
I first called Orbitz customer service which held me on line an hour before asking me to call back the next day. I called back the next day, an Orbitz supervisor called Spirit and told me I would have my money back within 3 to 10 business days. Ten business days later, I called Spirit customer service. They told me the refund could take up to 14 business days.
The situation seemed to be very normal to them. Today, one month later, I am still waiting for my refund. I can't see any way out, except hiring a lawyer.
