Our weekend to New Orleans plans along with several hundred other Spirit Airlines customers was completely ruined due to Tropical Storm Cindy. Spirit refused to work with us on our travel and corresponding hotel reservation was placed on the travel advisory list and then taken off.

Even though respected airlines like Delta did offer changes to travel due to the weather conditions. Spirit would not offer any sort of refund or travel voucher as a courtesy. My plea to all other travelers is don't sacrifice customer service, peace of mind, overall travel conditions, or comfort for a cheaper price. Spirit has the WORST customer service and customer experience I have ever had and I've been flying for 30 years!

At a glance the flight is cheaper, however they will nickel and dime you with tons of fees that makes your cost pretty much the same as flying with a legit airline. NEVER AGAIN!!!
