I also submitted a letter to Spirit which has gone unanswered. Where is there customer service??
They have completely ignored all requests for a reply to my letter. Their telephone help are also quite rude and appear to always be reading from a prepared script!
I had called the night before my flight to determine the size of carry-on bags. My bag definitely was the correct size to not require a fee. However, at the airport I was told there would be a charge.
All the man at check-in did was peek over the counter and announce my bag was too large and there would be a $40.00 cjharge. Rather than stand there and argue with him, because of the long lines waiting to check in, I merely gave him my charge card and went on my way. I was quite "pissed". They definitely have no customer relations!
I did write a letter of complaint and that was back in January 2012. I'm still waiting for a reply!
