I traveled to and from Mexico through the Fort Lauderdale hub. On the return flight, we were delayed a few minutes getting to our gate. They refused us entry to our connecting flight even though we got there 12 minutes befor the depart time. The plane was at the gate for another 15 to 20 minutes after we got there, leaving a few minutes late. The gate attendant was absolutely indifferent to the fact that we were coming in from an international flight on Spirit! I travel extensively for business and personal needs, and have never had this happen. I was flawed at the indifference!

Absolutely disgusting customer service, and let me add that I had the distinct impression that the gate attendent felt empowered by turning us (family of 4 with small children) away. I guess she will never be able to afford a mexican vacation and this was the next best thing for her.

Truly disgusting !

I will never fly this second (no make that third) rate airline again.
