I had to cancel and rebook my flight because of hurricane sandy. Huge change fee.

Fees for luggage, fees to choose a seat. My mom passed away while I was on my trip so I had to shorten the trip by one day. How much did that cost? $225.

The rep on the phone said to file a claim online and I would get reimbursed. So I looked online, but there was no place to file a claim. I emailed customer service with a copy of the death certificate.

The response was, I am so sorry for your loss, but we find it best to remain consistent with our policies, and cannot refund you the change fee. NEVER AGAIN.

Product or Service Mentioned: Spirit Airlines Flight.

Monetary Loss: $400.
