Spirit Airlines - Duty free liquor confiscated by tsa agents do to lack of information.
Four of my friends and I recently flew to playa del carmen, we purchased liquor at the duty free shop in the cancun airport, when we arrived at Fort Lauderdale our liquor was confiscated by tsa agents. Spirit failed to let us know that our purchases could be confiscated when we connected to our last flight home, even though we spend over an hour and a half in customs.
A simple fact that if you change flights you have to go to security again. The tsa agents were bullies and took our stuff, my girlfriend was humiliated and we lost our purchases.
Providing information to international customers should be a number one priority, but I guess that extra information should have been an extra $10. I'm a dealer in Las Vegas we encounter thousands of people a year it would be my pleasure to inform them of the below average service provided by spirit.
Monetary Loss: $200.
Location: Henderson, Nevada
